I'm an experienced tutor who has regularly helped kindergarten students through eighth-graders in science, social studies, math, reading, and writing. I've also helped these students prepare for standardized exams. In addition, I've experience working with special needs students. I'm currently attending Long Island University- C.W. Post for degrees in political science and elementary education. I've developed my tutoring strategy as part of the America Reads Program, which assists students in improving literacy. I love to work with children, and I hope to do so in my career. I'm friendly, charismatic, creative, and energetic, and I utilize these qualities when I work with students. I try to get students excited and engaged in the learning process, I also connect with my students to form a solid working relationship. These work together keep students motivated and focused. I can tutor entry-level math, English the college level, history, government, literature, reading, writing, and others. I can also help students prepare for private school admissions tests like the HSPT, ISEE, and SSAT. In my free time, I enjoy crochet, photography, art, nature, and listening to records.
